In addition to the installation of new fencing and lighting as part of the Port Security Grant program, CPA has performed emergency repairs to the Tinian Harbor that were caused by Super Typhoon Chaba in 2004.

CPA is still trying to find funds to do repairs on the breakwater that was constructed in 1944 by the U.S. military.

In November 2006, CPA hired the firm of Juan C. Tenorio PC Consulting Engineers to perform design work for the emergency repairs of the Tinian Harbor.  Upon completion of the design documents, CPA hired the company of FPA Power Corporation to perform the construction work.  The project will cost approximately $1.2 million and should be completed by November 2007.
